Worthless pictures

You know the proverb, "A picture is worth a thousand words"? Well, it's not always true. For instance, I was able to get a lot of knitting done this week - that's my 'thousand words'. The pictures, however, are totally worthless:

Underpants Blankie | The Bag | Fir Cone scarf

Can you tell there's been some progress? Neither can I :). You're just going to have to trust me.

Fortunately, today is Friday, which is a perfect day for some Eye Candy. What will it be? Some flora?

Phalaenopsis, Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA

Or is it fauna you're after?

Polydactyl tabby Felis silvestris catus, Boston, MA

I think I better start something more exciting - the three WIPs won't provide any entertainment for several weeks, at the least! What will it be - socks? scarf? sweater?

Sometimes all you can hope for is knowing there's been progress even if you can't see it. Gorgeous eye candy - on both counts. Have a great weekend.

Love the eye candy. Sleepy baby!

socks

I vote for scarf! I'm dubbing August Scarf Month for me, and misery loves company!

I lurv me some Polydactyl tabby Felis silvestris catus.

Progress is progress even if you're the only one who knows it happened.

Kitty pictures are ALWAYS legitimate and worthy substitutes when knitting photos fail.

I had a polydactyl kitty too! I thought it was so cute that when she sat with her paws together it looked like little ballerina feet. Fuzzy ones!

yo, you were down at longwood gardens, in my neck of the woods! did you know it was an estate owned by the dupont family (of chemical fame)?

s-w-e-e-t!

pretty widdle kitty!

Looks like progress to me. Stick with the bag, I'm dieing to see what you decide on the handles.

I trust that you really are making progress...but it would be fun to see you start a sweater. The thought process that goes into your projects is fascinating to watch.

Socks. Instant gratification, plus useful. You can never go wrong with socks.

Sweater!!! 75% of your FOs that show on the main page are socks, the remainder being scarves. From a purely selfish standpoint, "watching" you knit sweaters is great fun. I seem to recall sweaters from Knitting Lingerie Style and and Knitting Nature were both waiting... : )

Kitty!

Kitty pictures are never worthless.

Socks, socks and more socks! Socks everytime!!

What a beautiful kitty.

gorgeous kitty baby!

obviously i vote that you make socks!!

You know, I've really been in a fair-isle type mood lately. (It must be the cloudy/rainy day respite here in Oregon!) And sweater season is right around the corner/ How about a sweater KAL? Or some great raglan-seamed top? I could really use one of those right about now.

Ack. Longwood Gardens. I am having flashbacks! My vet school used to have dinner dances for students and faculty there every year. My first one was the last time LG allowed Penn Vet to use it, though, because the students trashed the place. It was mortifying to sit through the subsequent lectures - all the more so because seriously, it was NOT the freshman vet students who did the trashing and yet, AND YET, we seemed to be blamed. Argh. I can't bring myself to go back to the place, despite the relative proximity to my current home, and the beauty. Ah well.

The flowers are gorgeous, the kitty is sweet!

your worthless is my golden! hahah
Nice work as always!

I am in love with those kitty "thumbs!" I had a cat with them when I was little, and they still melt my heart.

My daughter and husband have polydactyly, theirs is a concealed variety, but I had no idea that cats get it too.

Yeah for socks!!!

kisses for the kitty nose!! =]

Orchids, kitty paws and you working on your projects, what more could a reader want? Thanks.

Waist Cincher Top. That is really cute and would provide entertainment for us.

;-)

Socks!! After all, they are your specialty.

My guess would be socks.

I just read Sundara's latest post which leads to this next question: how is your Ene coming along?

Sounding a mite bit ADD there, my grumpy friend. Congrats of the progress, the bag is looking great! I'm starting another in the All Hemp 6, in chocolate and deep sea...yummy!

Awwwwwwwww, it's Kitty! We love Kitty. :)

Maybe another project from Lingerie Knitting? (or whatever the title is)
Didn't you show a pet rat one time? Do you still have it?

what a gorgeous cat! can't wait to see what you add to your WIP. you're always working on interesting projects. i'm a max-of-two-projects-on-the-needles person myself, but i often have several more on the brain. happy knitting!

I love Longwood Gardens! When were you there?

Adorable kitty! Love, love, love the thumbs.

The Bag's looking great! You've inspired me to start one of my own, in black and cream. I second Sarah--can't wait to see what you do with the handles.

I vote for a sweater next.

your photos of The Bag are better (dare I say it) than the ones in the book because I can tell yours is made with two colors of yarn. So I may be inspired. Later. later.

Great pictures!
I'd love to paint the Phalaenopsis, and there is nothing wrong with a little kitty snoot any time of the day or night.

The orchid is beautiful and has great detail..while the projects may not be thrilling you they are coming along. I say to spice it up maybe a sweater, you haven't done one in a month or so...

Everything looks great! I can't wait to see that scarf, the red looks so scrumptious.

Orchids are lovely, but *nothing* can compete with a fuzzy kitty. :)

Make a sweater!!

Dig the phals. I have some of my own that are blooming up on my windowsill right now.

Oh, I've been to Longwood Gardens! Lovely place. :-)
