Red dyes are notorious bleeders--in my quilting classes I learned Synthrepol (something like that, I can't look it up right now) can be used in the wash to prevent that.

Using vinegar can help with the bleeding, I'm told, but I've never tried it cause it sounds like it would smell yucky. Does it look ok dry?
